Strategic Partnerships Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Strategic Partnership Manager to join our RevOps Protection Platform team.
As a Strategic Partnership Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Acquiring new insurer partnerships for the Protection Platform
- Maximising long-term value from existing insurer and strategic partnerships on the Protection Platform
- Managing partner performance
- Driving conversion and partnership evolution aligned with the Protection Platform’s product and strategic roadmap
- Achieving partner commercial and operational objectives
This role requires confident, hands-on partner leadership, including challenging the status quo where needed, leading contractual engagements, aligning partners to change initiatives, and ensuring UnderwriteMe can progress the Protection Platform rapidly while maintaining trusted relationships.
Responsibilities
Driving Mutual and Ongoing Partner Value
- Own the long-term success of each partnership to ensure sustained value delivery for both partners and UnderwriteMe
- Identify and deliver opportunities that improve:
- Partner performance (e.g., growth, efficiency, product coverage, customer experience)
- UnderwriteMe revenue and strategic value
- Regularly evaluate partnership performance and commercial outcomes to ensure viability and alignment
Ongoing Partner Management & Governance
- Build trusted, senior-level relationships with partner stakeholders across:
- Underwriting
- Claims
- Operations
- Sales
- Technology
- Leadership
- Act as the primary owner of day-to-day and strategic partner relationships
- Establish and lead regular operational, commercial, and strategic governance meetings
- Serve as the escalation point for Protection Platform partner issues, driving timely and pragmatic resolutions
Influence Change & Product Evolution
- Lead partner engagement on product:
- Changes
- Enhancements
- Roadmap priorities
- Collaboratively challenge partners to drive innovation while respecting constraints
- Secure buy-in for changes affecting:
- Product
- Data proposition
- Integrations
- Operational processes
- Commercial structures
- Balance partner constraints with internal product goals to enable progress

Partnership Development & Growth
- Lead insurer partnerships through:
- Sales negotiations
- Commercial agreements
- Contract completions
- Retention
- Set clear success criteria and timelines for each relationship
- Develop and grow deep insights across existing insurers and strategic partners
- Drive revenue growth by:
- Optimising existing partnerships
- Facilitating expansion
- Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Performance, Reporting & Optimisation
- Monitor and analyse partnership performance against strategic objectives
- Use data insights for improved prioritisation and decision-making
- Proactively escalate and resolve performance-related issues
Market & Product Collaboration
- Serve as the voice of insurer partners internally to inform decision-making
- Ensure product and technology teams engage directly with partner feedback
- Stay informed on:
- Insurtech trends
- Insurance developments
- Regulatory impacts
- Actively engage in panel discussions and industry events on behalf of the company
