The Strategic Planning team at TLC sits at the intersection of client, consumer, and creative, using research and insight to shape the thinking behind campaigns. They uncover what drives audience behaviour, translate that into clear strategic direction, and guide creative and client teams to deliver ideas that are not only engaging but also commercially effective and measurable.
We're looking for a Strategic Planning Intern to help shape the thinking behind our campaigns and build the foundations for a career in strategy.
This is an opportunity to work across clients, consumers, and creative teams to turn insight into impactful ideas.
What you'll be doing:
- Support insight generation through research into consumer behaviour, trends, and culture
- Help turn data and observations into clear, actionable insights
- Contribute to the development of creative briefs that guide campaign ideas
- Work closely with creative, sales, and client teams to bring ideas to life
- Support campaign evaluation by helping define success metrics and assess performance
- Assist in building tools, templates, and best practice processes across the agency
- Participate in client meetings, pitches, and presentations, helping position TLC as a strategic partner
- Develop an understanding of how strategy contributes to commercial outcomes and ROI

Who we're looking for:
- Strong communication skills and confidence working across different stakeholders
- A recent graduate (or soon-to-be) with an interest in strategy, marketing, or research
- Curiosity about people, brands, and culture
- Ability to challenge assumptions and approach problems analytically
- Commercial awareness and interest in how ideas drive business results
- Interest in media, trends, and emerging ideas
- Ability to develop and support ideas with evidence and insight
- Pragmatic, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
