Strategic Project Analyst
Marsh is looking for a Strategic Project Analyst to join our Chief of Staff team within our Digital Client Experience (DCX) unit — the team leading the incubation and acceleration of innovative client solutions globally. This role will be based in the London office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
You'll sit within a small, high-impact function, working directly alongside DCX leadership and interfacing daily with Product, Technology, Commercial, and Operations teams across multiple geographies.
This role is for you if...
- You thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution. You don't just analyse — you connect the dots between a business problem and a path forward. Terms like operating model, digital-first, and change enablement are part of how you think, not just words you've learned.
- You know what it takes to build something from scratch. You've been close enough to product development to understand the journey from whiteboard to launch. You know what an MVP is, why a product brief matters before a single line of code is written, and how to keep a roadmap honest when priorities shift. You can spot the difference between a feature request and a problem worth solving.
- You're genuinely curious about what's next. Terms like applied AI, human-centred design, and agile don't intimidate you — they energise you. You follow what's happening in the market, you have a point of view, and when someone says "we've always done it this way," your instinct is to ask why.
- You're comfortable in ambiguity — and rigorous at the finish line. You can hold your own in a room with technologists, strategists, and senior business leaders. You translate between all three. You know when to move fast and when precision matters.
- The mission matters to you. You're excited by the idea of shaping products that help clients see, manage, and transfer risk in ways that didn't exist five years ago — at the intersection of insurance, data, and AI.
If this sounds like the challenge you've been looking for — let's talk.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Support delivery of strategic initiatives — owning timelines, dependencies, and quality from kick-off through launch, with clear outcomes measurement
- Translate strategy into executable plans: objectives, success metrics, delivery roadmaps, and governance frameworks
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across Product, Tech, Commercial, and Operations — driving clarity on roles, handoffs, and decisions
- Design and maintain strategic reporting and KPI tracking across the initiative lifecycle
- Produce executive-ready communications: status updates, decision briefs, and steering readouts that give leadership clear visibility into progress and risk
- Support change and communications management, including adoption plans and embedding changes into business operations
What you need to have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to distil complex information and communicate clearly with technical, product, and business audiences.
- 1–3 years’ experience delivering strategic, cross-functional initiatives in a corporate environment (strategy execution, transformation, or internal consulting) — from definition through implementation
- Experience running end-to-end delivery: planning, governance, dependency management, risk and issue management, and executive-ready reporting
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and translate strategic goals into measurable outcomes
What makes you stand out:
- A curious mindset — you go beyond the first layer and ask the questions others don't
- Strategy consulting background or equivalent internal strategy experience
- Familiarity with agile, client-centric product development environments
- Initial experience in transformation and change management
