About the Role

The Strategic Project Manager is a global role responsible for leading key projects that deliver the company’s Supply Chain strategy. This involves turning strategic priorities into clear plans, managing their delivery, and making sure they achieve real, measurable results across multiple sites and regions.

Working closely with teams across engineering, operations, procurement, and finance, the role brings people together, creates clarity on what needs to be done, and ensures accountability. The focus is on delivering lasting improvements in cost, performance, and capability across Devro.

Note: This role involves global travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global, cross-functional projects from start to finish, driving safe, sustainable and cost effective solutions, and ensuring they deliver against the Supply Chain strategy and agreed targets.
  • Turn strategy into clear, practical plans with defined milestones, ownership, and measurable outcomes.
  • Bring together teams across engineering, operations, procurement, and finance to agree priorities and deliver solutions that work across all regions.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and keep everyone aligned, informed, and accountable for delivery.
  • Identify and address technical limitations across the sites impacting Safety, Quality, Sustainability and Cost and support the transfer and sharing of knowledge across the Engineering Community.
  • Use structured problem-solving and data to understand issues and implement lasting solutions.
  • Track progress using clear metrics, manage risks, and step in early to keep projects on track.
  • Support and lead change by helping teams adopt new ways of working and ensuring improvements are embedded.
  • Promote collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement across all project teams.
  • Build Engineering and Project Management knowledge and competencies around the group, supporting, coaching and mentoring as required.
  • Work towards a zero accident community, and ensure all work is delivered safely, meets quality standards, and follows company processes.

About You

Skills

  • Excellent project leadership skills with a track record of delivering cross-functional operational improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with structured improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Kepner-Tregoe, root-cause analysis).
  • Ability to influence across global teams and functions at all levels (engineering, production, procurement, quality, GBD, R&D).
  • Demonstrate ability to support Team Development of Skills and Capabilities.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to carry out data collection, validation, analysis and distill information for presentation and discussion.

Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • A recognised management qualification would be desirable.
  • Track record of Delivery on Projects across a range of disciplines.

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver multi-site or cross-functional operational improvement projects.
  • Significant Supply Chain operational experience and awareness of different supply execution processes.
  • Ability to work across different cultures.
  • Excellent people skills.
