Strategic SDR
Department: Outbound (SDR)
Location: Zinc - London
Compensation: £40,000 - £50,000 / year
Description
This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a 🚀 fast-growing team driving Zinc’s mission to revolutionise background checking. With three years of consistent 2x year-on-year growth 📈—and plans to do it again—you’ll play a key role in our continued success.
We’re looking for a high-impact Strategic SDR to fuel our revenue growth by generating and qualifying pipeline with mid-market and enterprise clients.
You’ll go beyond basic outreach—this is a role for someone who thrives on unlocking real business value, speaks the language of senior stakeholders, and knows how to deliver commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities 🔑
What You’ll Do:
- 📳 Own outbound strategy: cold calls, cold emails, and smart LinkedIn engagement
- 📖 Deep dive into accounts, map buying groups, and tailor outreach
- 🧠 Qualify leads and support deal progression with AEs
- 🤝 Work closely with Marketing & Partnerships on campaigns and events
- 📈 Use Hubspot, Outreach, and data to optimise your pipeline

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 🤩⚡️💎
- ✔️ 3+ years in outbound SDR roles (B2B SaaS or similar)
- ✔️ Proven success targeting senior stakeholders in complex orgs
- ✔️ Experience with MEDPIC, Outreach, Hubspot, and Sales Navigator
- ✔️ Sharp writing, confident calling, and strong commercial instincts
- ✔️ Motivated, coachable, and always looking for a smarter way to work
You'll likely have around 2+ years experience in sales or tech, but we’re more interested in your potential and attitude than your resume. We hire across multiple SDR levels and determine final levelling through a structured interview and scoring process.
