At OpenText Cyber, we're investing significantly across Northern Europe, with a strategic focus on the UK&I, and we're looking for an exceptional Strategic - SSE to join our high-performing team.
As the global leader in Secure Information Management for AI, OpenText helps organisations protect, govern, and unlock the value of their information in an increasingly complex digital world. Our Cyber portfolio spans Application Security, Identity & Access Management, Data Security, Threat Detection, Information Protection, and AI Governance, enabling customers to modernise securely and confidently.
This isn't another enterprise sales role. It's an opportunity to own some of the most strategic UK&I accounts and lead transformational Cyber programmes backed by one of the world's largest Information Management companies.
We're looking for an elite Strategic - SSE who consistently:
- Consistently wins complex Cyber software opportunities with Annual Contract Values (ACV) exceeding £1M
- Creates opportunities—not simply manage inbound pipelines
- Builds trusted relationships with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, Boards, and senior business executives
- Influences strategic business outcomes rather than product features
- Leads large cross-functional pursuit teams across complex FTSE100/250 organisations
- Successfully competes against the industry's leading Cyber vendors
- Builds long-term executive relationships that create sustainable account growth
- Thrives in high-performance environments where accountability, teamwork, and winning matter

Your Mission
As a Strategic-SSE, you will take ownership of a portfolio of OpenText's largest customers across UK&I.
Using a consultative, value-led approach, you will identify, create, qualify, and close complex Cyber opportunities while helping customers solve some of their most important Cyber challenges: resilience, AI governance, and information protection.
Working alongside world-class Client Executives, Solution Consultants, Customer Success, Professional Services, Executive Leadership, and Alliance Partners, you'll orchestrate complex pursuits from initial engagement through executive sponsorship, commercial negotiation, and successful closure.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Owning and executing strategic account plans across large UK&I accounts
- Creating and closing £1M plus opportunities
- Building executive-level relationships across customer organisations
- Leading business outcome conversations focused on Cyber resilience, AI governance, compliance, and digital transformation
- Developing executive sponsorship across both customer and OpenText leadership teams
- Maintaining exceptional forecast accuracy and disciplined CRM management
- Building predictable pipeline through structured account planning and opportunity qualification
- Applying a repeatable sales methodology that consistently delivers results
What Sets You Apart
You have a proven history of winning where others struggle.
You'll likely bring:
- 10+ years of Enterprise Software or SaaS sales success
- 5+ years selling Cyber enterprise software
- A consistent record of exceeding quota
- Experience winning complex multi-year enterprise software agreements
- Strong executive relationships across the UK&I
- Expertise selling solutions such as Application Security, Identity Security, DevSecOps, Data Security, Information Protection, or AI Security
- Excellent strategic account planning and territory management capabilities
- Experience navigating complex procurement and enterprise buying processes
- Success working alongside Global Systems Integrators and strategic alliance partners
- Outstanding executive presence, commercial acumen, and negotiation skills
