Job title: Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager – IT, Professional Services and HR
Contract duration: 18-month FTC
Location: UK flexible, India Bawal, Manesar
At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager, you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life‑saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.
The role:
As a Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager, you will help drive our goals by:
- Leading complex, high-value sourcing initiatives and negotiations across IT, HR and Professional Services, securing strong commercial outcomes
- Defining and executing global category strategies to drive value, manage risk and shape market engagement
- Acting as a senior commercial advisor to stakeholders, influencing sourcing decisions and demand management
- Managing a portfolio of strategic suppliers, driving performance, innovation and continuous improvement
- Delivering total cost of ownership optimisation through commercial modelling and structured contract approaches
- Identifying and unlocking value opportunities using market insight, supplier capability and industry trends

- Strong experience leading complex, high-value negotiations across IT, HR and Professional Services
- Proven track record in developing and delivering end-to-end sourcing and category strategies
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders within a global, matrix organisation
- Experience managing strategic suppliers and driving measurable performance improvements
- Advanced analytical and commercial modelling skills with a focus on value-based decision making
- Experience working across regions to implement sourcing strategies and realise contract value
