Job Purpose

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in our dynamic procurement team, supporting the ongoing development and performance of the corporate category, which is central to delivering high quality care across our services.

Joining our team you will work on a full time, 37.5hrs per week across 5 days, this is a hybrid role which will require you to be office based up to 2 days per week at either our London or Kent office.

To lead and deliver procurement activities within the Corporate Category, ensuring value for money, improved supplier performance and stakeholder satisfaction across healthcare and social care sites. The role is essential to ensuring that procurement in this category actively contributes to the wellbeing of patients and residents, whilst supporting colleagues in their ability to deliver outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3 Strategic Buyers.
  • Work with and mentor your team to Analyse, prepare business cases and implement procurement led improvements.
  • Support your team to assist key stakeholders in contract management of suppliers.
  • Encourage and support your team to Improve supplier performance. Actively manage suppliers and cost base.
  • Work closely with the senior management team to manage budgets and the direction of the department.
  • Manage your own Corporate Category responsible for areas including but not limited to: Insurance, Legal, Contracts & Policies.
  • Ensure all group policies & procedures are adhered to.
  • Deliver procurement solutions that support frontline care services and operational excellence.
  • Ensure category spend aligns with business goals and meets all governance, legal and regulatory standards.
