About the Role: Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Key Responsibilities
As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Defining supplier strategy and management and optimization of supplier panels
- Leading negotiations and allocating needs to specific suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions
- Managing claims, including commercial sourcing management (e.g., data analysis, negotiations support)
- Advising functional managers or other functions on approaches and procedures in sourcing/procurement
- Handling communication with colleagues and the business about problem-solving methods in sourcing
- Leading medium-sized projects or contributing to large-scale projects (typically 3–6 months to completion, with impacts measured up to 12 months post-event)

Requirements
Essential Criteria
To excel in this role, you have:
- A Bachelor's degree (or high school diploma/GED) from an accredited institution
- Strong work experience in direct sourcing or procurement
- Experience in Commodity Management
- Familiarity with ERPs like SAP or Oracle
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence teams (even small ones)
- The capacity to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- A permanent work permit in the UK
