Industry: Independent Electronic Components Distribution
Level: Associate/Mid-Level (3–10 Years Experience)
ASC Global is a leading independent distributor of electronic components with over 25 years in the industry. As we continue to grow our global operations, we are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join one of our offices in Tamarac, Florida, Warsaw, Poland, or London, UK - hunting down hard-to-find components, building supplier relationships, and playing an active role in the fast-moving world of independent distribution.
This is a strong opportunity for a sourcing professional who already knows the game - short lead times, allocated parts, obsolete components, and the hustle it takes to find what others can't - and is ready to bring that mindset and network to a growing global team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Source electronic components across global supplier networks, including open-market and franchised suppliers
- Hunt down hard-to-find, obsolete, and allocated components under tight deadlines
- Identify availability, lead times, and pricing for requested parts across a global supplier base
- Build and maintain relationships with a global network of suppliers and manufacturers
- Work closely with sales teams to fulfill customer requirements quickly and accurately
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible outcomes
- Track market trends, component shortages, allocations, and pricing fluctuations
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of sourcing activity in the company's systems
- Collaborate with purchasing, quality, and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Respond quickly to time-sensitive sourcing requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
