A leading FTSE 250 infrastructure organisation is investing heavily in the future of its Major Projects business and is looking to appoint a Strategic Supply Chain Manager to play a key role in that journey.
Working across some of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure programmes, you'll help shape supply chain strategy from the earliest stages of major bids through to project mobilisation, ensuring the business is well positioned to deliver nationally significant projects across sectors including rail, buildings, utilities, and major civil engineering.
About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join at a pivotal time. With a new executive team, a clear strategic direction, and significant investment in procurement and supply chain, you'll have the opportunity to influence how the function evolves while working alongside experienced industry professionals on high-profile infrastructure programmes.
If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing senior stakeholders, and developing strategic supply chain solutions rather than simply running procurement processes, this could be the ideal next step.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
