We're seeking a Strategic Technical Programme Manager (MDM Master Data Management) to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact for our Major Retail Managed Service client.
Please note, this is an initial 3-6 month PAYE umbrella contract that will require onsite working in London 2-3 days per week.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Technical Programme Manager to lead the orchestration of multidisciplinary teams through a critical design phase focused on Master Data Management implementation. In this pivotal role, you will bring structure and clarity to complex, cross-functional programmes while defining governance frameworks, architecting solutions, and establishing prioritised domain rollout roadmaps. Your leadership will drive coordinated delivery across multiple disciplines, ensuring alignment of stakeholders and successful execution of this transformational initiative.
You Will
- Lead and orchestrate multidisciplinary teams across Design and Technology functions
- Define governance frameworks and establish processes for Master Data Management implementation
- Design the Master Data Management target architecture and create a prioritised domain rollout roadmap
- Select the first domain for implementation and initiate its delivery phase
- Manage stakeholder alignment and senior-level influence across the organisation
- Translate strategic goals into clear, executable delivery plans
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the programme
- Communicate clearly and confidently with all audience levels, from operational teams to senior leadership
- Drive decision-making and alignment across multiple teams and disciplines
- Maintain focus on outcomes, pace, and delivery quality throughout the engagement

Ideally, We'd Like
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programmes within large organisations
- Demonstrated experience leading teams across multiple business functions and technical domains
- Strong capability in defining governance frameworks and architectural solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at senior levels
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and bring structure to complex situations
- Experience translating business objectives into technical delivery roadmaps
- Proactive risk and dependency management within programme environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills across diverse audiences
- Outcome-focused mindset with commitment to delivery excellence and pace
- Track record of successfully implementing enterprise-wide technology initiatives
