Ofgem is evolving, just as the energy sector it regulates continues to evolve. We’re looking for Strategy Managers to help shape how our organisation responds to change, ensuring we remain ready to deliver the infrastructure, resilience and clean power ambitions that will define the UK's energy future.

Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting consumers, especially vulnerable people.

We're offering a permanent opportunity within our Infrastructure Group, where you'll help shape our response to the Ofgem Review. Rather than simply responding to change, you'll lead analysis, coordination and strategic advice on review implications and the associated risk for the Infrastructure Group.

This is your chance to define how we are positioned to implement change, whilst remaining focused on our major priorities surrounding clean power and major energy infrastructure. It’s a multi-faceted challenge that will see you working across the Group and the wider organisation, looking at the bigger picture and helping shape the decisions that will define our future.

You'll be tackling a broad range of objectives, helping shape organisational priorities, influence major decisions and turn ideas into practical action. There's genuine variety, real ownership and the chance to see your thinking make a real difference.

Job description

You'll bring strong experience of strategy development, complex problem solving and high-quality analysis within a policy, regulatory or corporate strategy environment. You'll be confident turning complex evidence into practical recommendations, influencing senior stakeholders and communicating with clarity across organisational boundaries. Alongside excellent judgement and organisational skills, you'll thrive when balancing competing priorities within an evolving environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
