What you will be doing:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager on our Aftermarket Operations team. This role is responsible for the coordination, direction, and oversight of the implementation of a set of related projects and activities in order to deliver outcomes and benefits related to Aftermarket Operations strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Lead projects and programmes using established project management frameworks and standards as defined in the Rolls-Royce Management System (RRMS).
  • Capture requirements, define key deliverables and scope in a signed Statement of Work (SOW) or project charter.
  • Break down and communicate customer requirements to the project team, ensuring a clear shared understanding.
  • Agree on and monitor key deliverables and milestones with the internal/external customers or suppliers.
  • Allocate and track resources and ensure accurate scheduling and progress monitoring.
  • Act as the primary coordinator for developing work package SOWs/charters.
  • Manage budgets, risks, and schedules; apply effective estimation and scheduling practices.
  • Engage, motivate, and lead the team, facilitating collaboration and early involvement of appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant operational directives and processes.

Who we’re looking for:

Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.

Skills and Experience:

  • Solid understanding of project management frameworks and best practices (preferably including RRMS).
  • Demonstrated ability in requirements capture, communication, and scope management.
  • Experience with schedule and resource management, including the use of assignment tools (such as RAM, SOW, project charters).
  • Sound knowledge of risk management and budgetary control.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Able to operate within structured processes and drive progress to meet key performance milestones.

Qualifications:

  • The documentation does not specify mandatory formal qualifications, but a degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is typically expected.
  • Recognised project management certification (such as PRINCE2 or PMP) is advantageous.
  • Experience in complex engineering or manufacturing environments is desirable.
