Strategy & Transformation Leader (Contract)

A London-based software business building beautifully uncomplicated software to help organisations manage process, people, and financials. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Strategy & Transformation Leader to help turn ambition into execution.

This role ensures that our strategic priorities are clearly defined, effectively communicated, and successfully delivered. You’ll collaborate closely with the leadership team to identify investment areas, prioritise change initiatives, track progress, and provide visibility into how the business performs against its goals.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategic thinking and practical delivery.

  • Define and communicate organisational strategy and key priorities
  • Assess current strengths, capabilities, and constraints
  • Identify future capabilities required to support growth

  • Establish clear objectives, key results, and success measures
  • Create mechanisms to track strategic progress and business performance
  • Prioritise initiatives, projects, and investments based on value and impact
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable delivery plans
  • Provide visibility on progress, resources, dependencies, and risks
  • Improve governance, reporting, and portfolio management practices
  • Support leadership and board-level decision-making with accurate, timely insights
  • Foster accountability for delivery and outcomes across the organisation

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for candidates with:

  • Experience in strategy, transformation, PMO, portfolio management, business planning, or organisational change initiatives
  • Experience working closely with senior leadership teams
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in establishing frameworks for governance, reporting, planning, or performance management
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
  • Comfort in a growing, fast-paced environment where priorities evolve dynamically
