The Council is seeking a Driver / Labourer to join the Council’s successful Streetscene Team to carry out general street cleansing and labourer duties including the operation of mechanical sweeping machines and service vehicles to clear litter and debris from highways and public land.

The post is driven by successful team working and achieving set work schedules to ensure the District is clean and green. The successful applicant will be required to operate primarily from the Eckington and Wingerworth facilities, and may work out of other Council locations as required.

Knowledge and experience of undertaking litter clearance from highways and ground areas and the use of light powered equipment and power tools is essential for the role. A full clean driving license (categories: B+E, C1) and experience of driving specialist equipment such as mechanical sweeping machines and commercial vehicles (i.e. 4.5 Tonne g.v.w) is required.
