The Role: Aerospace Innovation in Action
Part of Airbus’s sustainability-driven mission—from zero-carbon flight (#ZEROe) to space exploration—you’ll work alongside the Broughton wing assembly lines, seeing your work directly shape the A400M and civil programmes, including Single Aisle, Long Range, and A350 technologies.

Collaborating with technical specialists, you’ll apply your expertise to the main wingbox, leading edge, and control surfaces, contributing to solutions for critical engineering challenges.

How You’ll Contribute
- Deploy structural deliverables: Perform, approve, or authorise static structural analyses to meet certification and safety standards.
- Drive cross-functional resolution: Lead and coordinate with teams to introduce disruptive improvements that enhance manufacturing quality and efficiency.
- Manage project scopes: Define and deliver technical project plans, advise engineers and suppliers, and act as a liaison for Technical Authorities.
- Embed digital innovation: Collaborate across disciplines to streamline workflows:
- Integrate automated tools and optimisation techniques into the development lifecycle.
- Mentor future engineers: Shape rising talent by promoting technical excellence and technical leadership behaviours.
About You: Technical Leadership with Strategic Vision
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Engineering with a strong Structural Analysis background.
- Proven expertise in static analysis techniques:
- Proficiency in ISAMI, GISEH, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Practical knowledge of:
- Aircraft structural design principles
- Load scenarios
- Mechanics of materials
- As a Lead Static Stress Engineer, qualify (or demonstrate readiness) for Industry-recognised Stress Approval (Check) Signatory capabilities.
- Top-tier collaboration: Ability to influence decisions within complex, demanding structures.
- Optional proficiency (already advantageous): Python, digital solutions, and automated design integration.
