About the Role
Our Technical Solutions Team is the UK Centre of Excellence in innovative design technology. Coupled with our International Design & Technology and Product Teams in France, their technical capabilities are second to none. You will have the opportunity to bring your creativity and innovative design ideas to an environment where you will be encouraged and supported by highly experienced Senior Engineers and challenged to work with an organisation that is focused on being the leader in its field. You will design and detail temporary works and strengthening solutions, justify appropriate construction methods, sometimes coordinating and reviewing bridge product designs developed by our sister company FPC.
Responsibilities
- Design and detail temporary works, including bespoke tools
- Design and detail strengthening solutions
- Design and justify construction methods
- Coordinate a draftsman
- Collaborate in the preparation of AIPs for temporary works
- Perform design risk analyses
- Liaise with Clients, Checkers and other Engineers
- Assist Company Estimators with technical aspects of tenders
- Promote the use of Freyssinet solutions to Clients and Consultants
- Provide design programmes and monitor them
- Manage internal design processes, including assumptions reviews, design, checks, and issuing approved drawings to operation teams and Clients
- Ensure designs are safe and economically optimised

Requirements
- Masters Degree in Structural Civil Engineering.
- Solid confidence in structural engineer principles and capability to carry out manual calculations.
- Experience in designing steel structures and reinforced concrete structures.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Engineering software: Knowledge of SAP2000 and IDEA StatiCa (advantageous)
- CAD software required knowledge: Autocad (SolidWorks and Revit are a plus)
