About the Role

We’re seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team. Based in one of our South West offices, you’ll play a key role in the structural design of complex projects, ensuring delivery within budgets and schedules while receiving moderate supervision. You’ll also manage smaller projects and provide mentorship to graduate engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analysis: Produce high-quality structural designs for complex projects.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with BIM technicians to coordinate design input/output.
    • Engage with internal design review processes, including Lead Verifiers.

  • Technical leadership:
    • Maintain technical excellence across projects.
    • Offer mentorship to junior team members and graduates.

  • Experience working with external design teams and contractors.
    • Composition of complex structural designs (frames, supports, etc.).
  • Core competencies:
    • Fluency in structural engineering software (e.g., Tekla Structures, SCIA Engineer, TEDDS).
    • Strong written and verbal communication (English).
    • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Capacity to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
