Ceto Talent is supporting a consultancy in the search for a Civil / Structural Engineer to join their team, working across a range of rail infrastructure projects.
This is a permanent opportunity suited to someone looking to develop their career within a stable consultancy environment, contributing across both design delivery and site-based work.
The Role
- Deliver civil and structural design across rail infrastructure projects
- Carry out site inspections and asset condition assessments
- Produce calculations, reports, drawings, and technical documentation
- Support delivery from early-stage assessment through to detailed design
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across live projects

Experience & Requirements
- Experience within rail infrastructure (civil and/or structural engineering)
- Background within a consultancy or design-led environment
- Exposure across multiple project stages and engineering disciplines
- Strong technical capability, including design calculations and reporting
- Experience producing and interpreting engineering drawings and design outputs
- Experience using design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD platforms
- Exposure to BIM environments (e.g., Revit) beneficial
- Ability to work across a broad scope of civil/structural work, not limited to a narrow specialism

Ideal Background
- Experience supporting delivery on rail civils and structures projects
- Experience within established engineering consultancies or recognised organisations
- Demonstrable consistency and continuity in project and role delivery
- A well-rounded engineering background with exposure across different infrastructure elements
