Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer

Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 per annum Type: Full-time Location: City of London, London

A Structural Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant building design experience is sought to join this award-winning and progressive central London-based structural consultancy firm.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to join one of London’s top practices:

  • A UK firm with nearly 200 staff, focusing on sustainable and architecturally challenging building design projects.
  • Projects range from small-scale to £50m+, with flexibility for engineers to take responsibility for their own projects, attend client and architecture meetings, and liaise directly with stakeholders.
  • The firm has won multiple industry awards for its work and is looking for top-tier candidates who will thrive in their dynamic culture.

Requirements

  • Ideally: A CCAB-qualified structural engineer (or near-qualification) with 3+ years post-qualification experience, preferably with a UK-based structural engineering consultancy.
  • Must demonstrate:
    • Technical excellence in building structures.
    • Strong communication and architectural sensibility.
    • Experience across diverse building typologies (new build and refurbishment).
  • Bonus: Existing London-based candidates and those with refurbishment experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
