An established and growing structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE) to join its expanding team based in Rochester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer looking to take ownership of a diverse project portfolio within a highly respected consultancy.
Working across residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, you will lead structural design from concept through to construction, collaborating with architects, contractors, developers and local authorities to deliver innovative, practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.

The role offers exposure to a wide variety of technically challenging schemes throughout London, Kent and Essex.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the structural design and delivery of projects from feasibility through to completion. Prepare and review structural calculations, reports and technical specifications. Attend client meetings, design team meetings and site inspections. Coordinate with architects, contractors, M&E consultants and planning teams. Manage project programmes, technical delivery and fee budgets. Undertake structural surveys, assessments and inspections of existing buildings.
To be considered, you will need: Chartered Engineer (CEng) status Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE). Minimum 5 years' post-graduate structural design experience. Experience delivering projects independently from inception through to completion. Strong knowledge of British Standards and UK construction practices. Experience leading projects and reviewing the work of junior engineers. Excellent communication and client-facing skills. Residential, commercial, industrial or public sector project experience.
