Bedi Consulting Ltd, located in Greater London, is an innovative, boutique consultancy offering specialist geotechnical, tunnel, and underground structures engineering services from design conception through to construction. The company has a proven track record of project delivery on challenging problems. The role will be to support our portfolio of projects across the UK, India, and Australia.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Structural Engineer at Bedi Consulting Ltd. The applicant should have 4+ years of industry experience in structural engineering design for heavy infrastructure projects, ideally for tunnelling projects. The role is based in Greater London but allows for hybrid working.

Role & responsibilities
- Technical expertise in civil/structural engineering focused on design of steel and concrete structures.
- Demonstrable understanding of the underlying principles as applied to tunnelling and underground structures schemes (preferable, but not essential).
- Experienced in preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis, and technical reports.
- Perform construction-related services including:
- Shop drawing reviews
- Response to requests for information
- Periodic construction site observation
- Occasional specialised structural inspections

Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the delivery of tunnelling and/or underground projects involving multi-disciplinary design input and preparing deliverables to a high technical level.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Proficient working with Eurocodes and other design standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) is a plus
