Project Structural Engineer

Leeds | Up to £50,000 + Excellent Benefits Package
Permanent | Office-Based

A specialist Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Structural Engineer to join their growing Leeds office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Structural Engineer looking to progress their career within an employee-owned consultancy that offers genuine long-term development opportunities, including progression towards senior management and Director-level positions.

Working across a diverse range of public and commercial sector projects, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions while contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

The Role

As a Project Structural Engineer, you will take an active role in the delivery of structural engineering projects from initial design through to completion.

You will work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, providing technical expertise, managing project delivery and supporting the development of engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and delivering structural engineering projects across a range of sectors.
  • Producing structural designs and calculations across various materials.
  • Coordinating project engineers, graduates, and technicians.
  • Working closely with clients, contractors, and other professional disciplines.
  • Supporting project delivery, technical reviews, and problem-solving activities.
  • Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development activities.
  • Taking responsibility for the successful completion of projects.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be an ambitious Structural Engineer with strong technical ability and experience within a consultancy environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate structural engineering experience.
  • Experience working within a Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy.
  • Working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
  • Strong structural design experience across multiple materials.
  • Experience managing projects through to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and project stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solutions-driven approach.
  • A valid UK driving licence.

Technical Requirements

Experience with the following software packages would be highly advantageous:

  • TEDDS
  • Tekla Structural Designer
  • Fastrack Portal Frame
  • CADS Wall Panel
  • P Frame
  • MasterSeries Retaining Wall

Location
