Are you a Structural Steel Estimator with experience within the steel fabrication or construction industry, looking to join a well-established engineering business that has been operating for over 20 years?
On offer is the opportunity to join a long-established structural steel specialist, taking full end-to-end responsibility for contracts across design, manufacture, and installation, within a business that has been shaping the industry for nearly 25 years.
In this role you will take ownership of structural steelwork enquiries, producing detailed and accurate cost estimates from tender stage through to submission, working closely with Contracts Managers and supporting the wider commercial team.
The Role:
- Managing structural steel tender enquiries from initial receipt through to submission
- Producing detailed material take-offs from drawings, 3D models, and engineering information
- Preparing full cost estimates including materials, fabrication labour, surface treatments, transport, and installation
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, identifying value engineering opportunities, and supporting pre- and post-tender client meetings as required

The Person:
- Structural Steel Estimator or similar within steel fabrication or construction
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and cost take-offs
- Experience working within structural steel or heavy steel engineering
- Commutable to Peterborough
