Revit isn’t just a tool for you. It’s how you think.

At BakerHicks, our Structural teams don’t sit on routine jobs. You’ll be working on technically complex projects across life sciences, energy, infrastructure, defence and nuclear, where coordination and precision actually matter.

We’re looking for a Structural Technician who is confident in a BIM-led environment and knows how to turn coordinated models into something buildable.

What you’ll be doing

  • Produce coordinated structural models and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD within BIM workflows
  • Build and maintain Revit models and families that are actually usable across projects
  • Support BIM coordination, clash detection and multidisciplinary model reviews
  • Deliver reinforcement detailing and RC drawings to a high standard
  • Work closely with engineers and other disciplines to ensure designs are coordinated and practical
  • Take ownership of work packages, managing quality and technical accuracy
  • Contribute to improving digital delivery, automation and modelling processes

What you’ll bring

Essential

  • Strong Revit capability within a BIM environment
  • Experience creating Revit families and delivering model-based structural design
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Experience delivering structural drawings from concept through to detailed design
  • Reinforced concrete detailing and RC drawing experience
  • Understanding of steel, concrete and timber structures
  • Familiarity with UK design standards and CDM regulations
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary design teams
  • Eligible for security clearance for defence or nuclear work

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
