Doran Consulting is the largest independent Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy firm in Northern Ireland with over 70 years' experience in the delivery of engineering services to a large number of premier private clients and key public bodies throughout Great Britain and Ireland.
We are currently seeking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Structural Technicians / BIM Modellers to join our busy and growing Structural Engineering teams.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors, supporting the delivery of high-quality structural designs within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role will involve the production of drawings and BIM models using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, working closely with Structural Engineers and other design disciplines to develop coordinated and accurate project information.
Applicants should ideally have experience within a structural engineering consultancy or construction-related environment, together with an understanding of BIM processes and proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
In return, we offer the opportunity to work on varied and challenging projects, alongside experienced engineers and technicians, with ongoing support for professional and technical development.
Main Responsibilities
- Production and development of market leading BIM models for construction projects
- Assisting with the production of construction visualisations and animations
- Clash detection reporting and analysis
- Assisting with model management
- Assisting with multi-disciplinary model interfaces
