The Opportunity
Are you a Middle Office, Trade Support or Operations professional looking to move into a highly visible role supporting complex and bespoke trading activity? We're partnering with Nomura to hire an Associate into their Structured Credit Middle Office team. This is an opportunity to join a small, high-performing team that sits at the heart of the trading business, working directly with Structured Credit and Securitised Products trading desks.
Nomura is a global financial services group and investment bank with a strong presence across Asia, Europe and the Americas, serving individuals, institutions, corporates and governments through wealth management, asset management, wholesale markets and banking. The company is generally seen as a high-performance, client-focused organisation with a long history, international exposure and a culture that emphasises ethics, collaboration and diverse talent.
Why This Role
Many of the transactions are bespoke and non-standard, meaning there is genuine opportunity to investigate issues, challenge assumptions, improve processes and add value. This is not a processing role; it is a role for someone who enjoys problem solving, ownership and stakeholder engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
