Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role

This is a broad and senior role with a primary focus on structuring, modelling, and execution, while working alongside senior leadership on origination.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end execution of structured transactions (£5m-£50m+), including modelling, structuring, negotiation, and closing
  • Analysing underlying credit risk and developing robust cash flow models
  • Executing investments across public ABS, asset-backed finance, and private securitisation
  • Working across the capital structure, with a focus on mezzanine and junior tranches
  • Supporting the development of new structures, products, and funding solutions
  • Managing transaction risk, compliance, and stakeholder engagement
  • Contributing to the build-out of a private credit investment strategy

Origination is largely led by senior leadership, enabling you to focus on execution quality, structuring expertise, and investment judgement.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an experienced structured finance professional with a buy-side or principal investing background, ideally from a credit fund or similar platform.

Key experience includes:

  • Strong grounding in credit analysis and cash flow modelling (developed earlier in career)
  • Proven track record executing structured finance transactions
  • Experience across ABS / asset-backed finance, including mezzanine and junior investments
  • Exposure to private securitisation, block funding, or SRT-type structures
  • Experience working on smaller, more complex transactions (c.£5-10m+) as well as larger public ABS
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to assess risk across different asset classes
