Structured Investments Operations – Trading Services Analyst

Trading Services Analyst – Structured Investment Operations Team

Join our Structured Investment Operations team to support trade execution, improve processes, and partner with Sales for clients now!

As a Trading Services Analyst within the Structured Investments Operations Team, you will support end-to-end execution across:

  • Origination support
  • Client onboarding
  • Subscriptions
  • Trade booking
  • Confirmations
  • Settlements
  • Lifecycle management
  • Fee governance

You’ll contribute to standardization and reporting, maintain tracking tools, and collaborate with internal partners (Legal, Credit, Confirmations, Trading Assistants, Middle Office, Collateral, Issuance) to resolve queries and operational breaks.


Key Responsibilities

The role involves:

  • Supporting daily trading operations end-to-end, including:
    • Timely trade capture & reconciliations
    • Break investigation with clear, documented escalations
  • Assisting in recurring management reporting and team dashboards, while:
    • Contributing ideas for process improvement & standardization
  • Preparing client activity summaries and developing market/desk materials for Sales in a clear, structured format
  • Collaborating with Onboarding/Transition teams to ensure counterparty setups are "good to trade" across systems
  • Monitoring daily subscription bookings, ensuring alignment with approvals, and flagging exceptions
  • Supporting delivery instruction preparation and settlements, ensuring timely booking & reconciliation
  • Assisting with economic/non-economic amendments, coordinating inputs, and capturing sign-offs
  • Maintaining pricing/tracking spreadsheets and processing:
    • Indicative pricing requests
    • Routine client queries (with oversight as needed)
  • Conducting lifecycle event checks (expiries, resets, coupons, fees, cashflows)
  • Helping track and instruct payments & fee events
  • Investigating operational breaks and partnering with Collateral/Operations teams for resolution
  • Drafting and maintaining SOPs & desk procedures, contributing to control documentation and audit-ready evidence

Requirements

**Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in:
    • Operations, trading services, middle office, settlements, confirmations, or a related financial services roles
    • Equivalent internship/placement experience may also qualify
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under guidance
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills, particularly in:
    • Investigating operational breaks
    • Documenting outcomes effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaborative working style
  • Proficiency in:
    • Excel (formulas, pivots, data cleaning)
    • Microsoft Office

**Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to Structured Investments / Structured Finance (e.g., repacks, fund subscriptions, distribution fees)
  • Familiarity with:
    • Onboarding workflows
    • Affirmations/confirmations
    • Settlement processes
  • Basic automation/reporting skills (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL) – not compulsory but advantageous
  • Experience updating SOPs or supporting process improvement in a growing team
