Rural Land Management and Consultancy Consultant – Harrogate
An outstanding opportunity has arisen to become a key member of the Rural Land Management and Consultancy team based in Harrogate.
The team specialises in the management of Rural Estates and offers a diverse range of professional rural advice. Their technical excellence supports an impressive client base, with expertise advising some of the most prestigious clients in the area. The role combines Estate Management, Planning, and Rural Consultancy while working collaboratively within a results-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the principal agent for key estate management clients
- Conduct estate and farming business reviews
- Manage and lead diversification projects
- Assist clients with strategic land promotion
- Undertake secured lending and professional valuations
- Develop and manage a high-performing team
- Maintain a strong and prestigious client base
Key Skills & Competencies
The successful candidate must be an experienced, MRICS-qualified rural surveyor demonstrating expertise in delivering work across diverse projects, with strong leadership potential. Key requirements include:
- Able to build strong relationships with existing and new clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Composed and confident with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent time management, prioritisation, and deadline adherence
- Attention to detail and professional accuracy
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with team members, colleagues, and clients
- Ability to manage a workload flexibly, adapting to changing priorities
- Full awareness of confidentiality protocols and the importance of discretion

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (minimum)
- Must hold a full, valid driving licence
Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Direct experience of working to tight deadlines
- Prior team management experience
