Strutt & Parker - Graduate Rural Surveyor

Graduate Surveyor Programme – Land Management (Perth or Inverness)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our Land Management team in Perth or Inverness. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the key attributes of a successful Rural Chartered Surveyor.

This two-year Graduate Programme will support candidates in obtaining:

  • RICSP (RICS) accreditation as a Rural Chartered Surveyor
  • Fellowship of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers

Training and development are core components of the programme, offering: ✅ Full APC training with RICS ✅ Comprehensive CAAV preparation ✅ Mock interviews and presentation training ✅ Continuous Professional Development (CPD) lectures


Roles and Responsibilities

Main Accountabilities

  • Execute day-to-day tasks as directed by line manager and APC supervisor
  • Take ownership of projects aligned with team/department objectives
  • Prioritise workload effectively and manage tasks independently
  • Actively engage with APC supervisor and counsellor on progress reviews

Deliveries to Client

  • Demonstrate relevance to team/departmental objectives
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in client reporting
  • Exhibit personable communication tailored to client needs
  • Proactively seek to enhance client relationships

Client and Business Development

  • Build proactive relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Provide responsive, client-focused support
  • Maintain awareness of team/business context
  • Deliver high-quality client reporting

  • Commercially astute with solid numeracy skills
  • Energy, motivation, ambition with a networking & business-minded attitude
  • Interest in farming, food systems, and rural/heritage properties
  • Experience in hands-on practical farming
  • Environment and sustainability awareness

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • University degree
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Practical rural experience (advantageous)

  • Technical: Competent in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Interpersonal: Clear written/verbal communication skills
  • Attitude: Determination, focus on career goals &Remove Duplicate Removed Motivated to pursue a career in surveying
