Department: Student Experience Location: Bath, Somerset (with possible work across University campuses and Accommodation sites) Compensation: Grade 5 – £29,588 to £33,002 per annum (potential incremental progress)
Salary Notes: Salary placement typically at the lower end unless exceptional circumstances apply. Allowance for annual inflationary increases.

About the Role
A vital role within the Student Accommodation Team at Bath Spa University, you will lead the planning, execution and delivery of our annual student housing operations. Your responsibilities include:
- Allocation & occupancy management of university residences
- Providing advice and guidance to students regarding accommodation choices and requirements
- Coordinating liaison with internal teams (e.g., student services, finance) as well as external stakeholders (e.g., private landlords, letting agents)
- Supporting accommodation-related administration, finance, marketing, and communications
You will also:
- Actively promote our accommodation services at recruitment events
- Assist students in University and private rented accommodation
- Conduct regular inspections of accommodations
- Ensure continuous improvement of services while prioritising sustainability, excellence in customer service, and sensitive, confidential handling of queries/disputes
Key Responsibilities
- Managing student housing allocations, move-in/move-out processes, and house inspections
- Liaising with Internal teams (Student Services, Finance, Facilities) and External partners (Private Accommodation Providers, Local Authorities)
- Supporting student communications, including administration, finance-related queries, and marketing enforcement
- Presenting accommodation options at open days, university events, and external public engagements
- Collating feedback, leading surveys, and documenting improvements
- Collaborating within the team to shine the organisation and MM prominence for a new era of student experience at BSU

About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (with a proven ability to practice diplomacy and tact)
- Strong IT and organisational proficiencies (conceptual understanding of data input/output management systems)
- Experience working in Higher Education (including supporting international students with accommodation needs)
- A proactive approach to work with collaborative teamwork spirit
- Understanding of administrative requirements in University or private renting operations

Additional Information
Work Schedule Considerations
- Occasional out-of-hours work will be required, including at evenings and during weekends (e.g., Open Days, move-in/move-out periods).
- Flexible leave will be limited during August & September to accommodate operations.
- Mobility may be required between University campuses and onsite accommodation facilities.
