About the Role
The Suthers School is seeking a passionate and talented Student Behaviour and Standards Manager to contribute to its warm, supportive, and compassionate environment. This role will focus on fostering a positive pastoral culture, ensuring a calm, disruption-free learning environment, and promoting student welfare in alignment with The Suthers Way.
Key Responsibilities
- Strengthen the pastoral culture and promote The Suthers Way
- Improve daily behaviour operations, including:
- Managing the RR room
- Contributing to On-Call systems
- Reducing lost learning due to disruptions
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team (SLT), pastoral staff, teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies to support students whose behaviour or standards fall below expectations
- Track, record, and analyse behaviour data using Bromcom and Power BI, informing targeted interventions
- Develop, implement, and monitor behaviour strategies, including:
- Managing the Behaviour & Personal Achievement Review (BPAR) process
- Delivering targeted interventions
- Engage with families and agencies in a professional, supportive manner, adhering to school policies and procedures
- Lead or support:
- Parent meetings
- Assemblies
- College Partnership (CPL) programmes
- Extracurricular activities
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and first aider, ensuring:
- Safeguarding standards are upheld
- Welfare and confidentiality of students are prioritised
- Health & safety policies are adhered to
- Maintain professional development through regular opportunities for learning and training
