About Grandma’s Soup
Grandma’s Soup is a social enterprise with a simple but powerful mission: to reduce loneliness among older adults through cooking and connection.
The initiative is inspired by the Dutch social enterprise Oma’s Soep. In the Netherlands, Oma’s Soep has grown rapidly with student-led boards in 14 cities. They deliver weekly soup packages, and run social initiatives that foster connection across generations. Surplus vegetables are used to create soups, reducing food waste while generating funds through sales in supermarkets and cafés to sustain and expand the social impact.
We are now bringing this model to the UK, starting with London, and are looking for motivated student entrepreneurs to help build and shape our first UK chapter. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you’ll help design, launch, and grow a social enterprise that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
