Job summary:
First Intuition (FI) Online is a provider of Online and Online Live ACCA and CIMA courses through commercial sales, and we also support the wider FI network in delivering high-quality blended apprenticeship programmes. We pride ourselves on offering a personal and supportive approach to training, where people are at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking a commercially driven Student and Client Relationship Manager to support the growth of FI Online. This role combines student recruitment, lead conversion, and client relationship development, with a strong focus on increasing student enrolments and building employer partnerships.
You will provide clear, tailored information about our programmes and help prospective students feel confident and motivated to enrol.
You will work closely with FI’s Distance Learning team to engage AAT students completing their studies and guide them in transitioning to ACCA or CIMA programmes at FI Online.
You will also be instrumental in developing a structured approach to building and maintaining relationships with employers whose students attend online courses, with the aim of becoming a trusted advisor to employers and ultimately increasing student numbers in line with FI Online’s growth targets.
As part of a collaborative and growing team, you will also support operational processes where required, ensuring a seamless experience for students and clients.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in lead conversion, client relationship management, excellent communication skills, and a friendly, approachable, and collaborative attitude.
Success in this role will be measured through student enrolment growth, lead conversion performance, and the development of strong employer relationships.

Key responsibilities:
Lead conversion
- Engaging with prospective students over the phone to discuss our course offering and following up with written summaries of the information discussed.
- Identify and develop partnerships with external bodies to increase our reach, and drive student enrolments.
- Liaise with the AAT Distance Learning team to take on their students when they finish their AAT studies.
- Maintaining a database of lead data to enable monitoring of KPIs such as lead conversion rates and time to respond to enquiries.
Client relationships
- Build strong relationships with existing employers, understanding and meeting their needs for their students
- Providing clients with reports to aid their understanding of their student’s progression
- Support new employers through getting their students set up to study, acting as a point of contact going forwards.
Collaboration, insight, and operations
- Work with the operations team to support the follow up of new enquiries.
- Work with the marketing team to support the communication going out to prospective and existing students.
- Work with existing CRMs in other FI regions where clients overlap
- Undertake market research to fully understand the online market and share feedback from this research.
- Travel to assist with business development and employer opportunities.
Skills and experience:
Essential:
- Previous experience in lead conversion/sales role with measurable results
- Previous experience as a client relationship manager/business development manager
- Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport and influence over the phone
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
- Able to multi-task and comfortable managing competing priorities in a busy environment
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive in spotting and solving issues
- Self-starter who can organise their day, adapt to change, and is able to manage time effectively
- Flexible and adaptable team player, with the ability to collaborate with different teams across the business
- Comfortable using CRM systems and managing lead pipelines, alongside standard IT tools (MS Office, email, etc.)
- Willingness to travel for meetings and events
- Right to work in the UK

Preferred:
- An understanding of professional qualification training in a professional service environment.
- Experience of using a CRM such as Administrate or HubSpot
Location:
This role is primarily remote, with travel required at least twice per month to the First Intuition Birmingham office. The office is centrally located and within walking distance of major transport hubs. These visits support monthly team meetings and additional collaboration opportunities.
There is also an expectation to attend a quarterly business development meeting at the First Intuition London office on Drummond Street.
