Student Engagement Advisor Customer Retention | Re-engagement | Sales Conversations | $67K–$69K + Super + Commission
About the Opportunity
Do you enjoy helping customers stay engaged while achieving meaningful sales and retention outcomes? As a Student Engagement Advisor, you'll play a key role in helping current students continue their education journey. Through a mix of outbound engagement and inbound support, you'll reconnect with students, guide them through their enrolment options, and help them stay on track to achieve their study goals.
This is a target-driven role suited to people who enjoy building relationships, having outcome-focused conversations, and achieving performance goals in a supportive, purpose-led environment. Whether you've worked in customer retention, banking, insurance, contact centres, membership services or sales, this is an opportunity to apply your commercial skills to make a genuine difference in students' lives.

Earn a $67K–$69K base + super, plus commission linked to student retention outcomes, with payments aligned to key intake periods.
What You'll Do
You'll proactively engage with current students, helping them overcome barriers to study while delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving retention outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct outbound campaigns to domestic and international students across a range of channels to ensure they continue their studies.
- Provide an elite level of customer service to students.
- Assist students with inbound phone and email queries relating to subject selection, withdrawal information and study load.
- Resolve enquiries relating to system and portal access.
- Ensure revenue and retention targets for returning students are hit in each trimester.
- Meet KPI’s and service levels around customer experience and satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to use Voice of the Customer feedback to improve the service we provide.
- Provide insights around customer behaviour to inform the work of the Service Design team.
- Participate in team meetings, events, Orientation & Information Sessions as required.

Skills & Experience
Must Have
- Experience in sales, customer retention, customer success, contact centre, banking, insurance or similar customer-focused roles
- Proven ability to achieve KPIs or performance targets
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong problem-solving ability with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Nice to have
- Experience within higher education or student services
- Exposure to Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM platforms
- Experience working in customer retention or re-engagement campaigns
