Student Engagement Coordinator
Based: Walbrook Institute, London Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum Hours: 37.5 hrs/week, full-time, permanent

The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate, student-centred Student Engagement Coordinator to join our Student Engagement Team. Ideal candidates will:
- Have a genuine commitment to student success, engagement, and wellbeing.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative HE environment.
- Have experience in supporting diverse student populations, including international students.
- Bring creativity and initiative in designing and delivering impactful student initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Student Support & Engagement
- Provide frontline support for student enquiries, both in-person and digitally.
- Guide students through their academic journey, addressing pastoral, wellbeing, and administrative concerns.
- Proactively monitor attendance and engagement, intervening where needed to improve retention and satisfaction.

Communication & Outreach
- Coordinate student engagement activities, ensuring they align with institutional values and policies.
- Lead student voice initiatives, including surveys, feedback forums, and feedback analysis.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date records for service evaluation and compliance.
Collaboration & Safeguarding
- Work closely with academic and professional services teams.
- Ensure all engagements comply with institutional policies and safeguarding guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Relevant experience in a student-facing role within UK Higher Education.
- Experience supporting international students and diverse student populations.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
- Digital confidence (e.g., using CRM/LMS systems and online platforms).
- A proactive, student-centred approach with a passion for excellent student experiences.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
Desirable
- Knowledge of the UK higher education sector and the student lifecycle.
- Experience in supporting online learners and managing digital engagement.
- Familiarity with student records/CRM systems or engagement monitoring tools.
- Understanding of UKVI requirements and challenges for international students.

Location & Working Arrangements
- Primary role: On-campus, Walbrook Institute, London.
- Hybrid flexibility: Up to one remote day per week (subject to rota).
