About the Team

Talent Shared Services (TSS) is a Birmingham-based, centralised team instrumental in supporting the firm’s Talent Strategy and employee lifecycle. Comprised of teams specialising in:

  • HR Advisory
  • Payroll
  • Employee data management
  • Absence case management
  • Talent Information Systems
  • Student screening & onboarding
  • Student apprenticeship & compliance
  • Immigration support
  • Security clearance vetting

By centralising these services and focusing on consistency, compliance, and operational excellence, TSS enables the broader Talent team to prioritise strategic initiatives and employee experience.

As a Senior Associate in the Student Experience Team, your role will be core to administering EY’s professional qualifications and compliance management for students and apprentices.


The Opportunity

This is a unique chance to support the Student Experience (SE) Team, which oversees:

  • The administration of professional qualifications
  • Compliance management for UK&I students
  • Close collaboration with the Talent Student Management and Delivery (SMD) Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders

Your primary purpose will be to assist SE Associates in processing and administering qualifications for all students enrolled, ensuring smooth transition and support across assessment cycles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision & Coaching

    • Supervise, coach, and counsel team members responsible for day-to-day qualification administration to enhance their competency.
  • Qualification Administration

    • Provide day-to-day support for professional qualification transactions across the entire qualifications life cycle (e.g., course registration, updates, appeals).
    • Act as the escalation point for queries while continuously expanding knowledge of processes, policies, and resources.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with the SMD Team and internal business units, tuition providers, and external qualification institutes.
    • Represent SE inлярessions with external vendors, ensuring clear communication and effective resolution.
  • Quality & Data Management

    • Support database maintenance and integrity, conducting audit checks, and overseeing housekeeping to ensure data accuracy.
    • Prepare records for future student intakes.
  • Process Development & Improvement

    • Develop and maintain process documents reflecting best practices.
    • Identify risks and streamline operations to enhance efficiency.
  • Student Support

    • Provide access arrangements guidance and act as a liaising point between institutes, tuition providers, and students.
    • Assist with invoice and billing processes for qualification-related costs.
  • Mentorship & Leadership

    • Guide and support SE Team Associates in their counselling and administrative tasks.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Proven track record in qualification administration, preferably in professional or apprenticeship contexts.
  • Highly organisational with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong partnerships both internally and externally.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, stakeholder expectations, and workload demands effectively.
  • Auditor-style influence and relatability with flexibility in adapting approaches.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive attitude with a "can-do" mindset.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).

Ideal (Preferred)

  • Familiarity with EY’s professional qualifications across tuition providers and assessment cycles.
  • Direct experience in shared services or centralised team environments.
  • Previous exposure to apprenticeship or qualification administration policies (beneficial).
