Student Front of House Assistant – Capital City College, London

Capital City College is looking for a skilled Student Front of House Assistant to support key operational functions within a busy commercial restaurant setting, aligned with our ambition to "create a future that’s uniquely yours."
About The Role
This role is offered on an hourly paid basis and is ideal for students enrolled in relevant courses.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver exemplary customer service in a dynamic restaurant environment
- Welcome and manage seating for guests with professionalism and warmth
- Takes, processes, and records orders while maintaining accuracy
- Serves food, beverages, and executes cashless/mobile payments efficiently
- Supports front-of-house teams during lunch (09:00–14:00) and evening service (14:00–21:00), including weekend (Saturday) peak periods
- Maintain dining areas to high standards, including table presentation and cleanliness
- Uphold strict adherence to food hygiene, safety, and verification protocols at all times
- Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen and bar teams to ensure a seamless service experience
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled on an Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related FE programme at Capital City College
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences in a public-facing role
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Ability to think quickly, serve multiple customers efficiently, and multitask effectively
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and discretion are essential
- Reliable availability, particularly during **weekday evenings, weekends, and trading holidays
- A willingness to learn, take constructive feedback, and develop your front-of-house expertise

Our restaurants operate 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Saturday. As a vital part of the Front-of-House team, your role shines when:
