Student Front of House Assistant – Capital City College

About the Role

This is an hourly paid position in our commercial restaurant.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provision of excellent customer service during every interaction
    • Welcome guests promptly and professionally
    • Manage seating and ensure a comfortable dining experience
    • Maintain a friendly yet polished atmosphere
  • Core service operations in the restaurant
    • Accurately take food and drink orders
    • Serve meals/bebevies with precision
    • Process payments efficiently and courteously
  • Environmental standards
    • Prepare and maintain dining areas to high hygiene, food safety, and presentation standards
  • Collaborative service delivery
    • Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth, cohesive operations

Key Requirements

Eligibility

  • Student currently enrolled on a Hospitality-related programme or with relevant background

Attitudes and Skills

  • A customer-centric mindset with an emphasis on first-rate service
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time-keeping skills
  • Confidence in handling public interactions, even under pressure
  • Reliability—especially during peak hours (including weekends/Saturdays)
  • Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced environments
  • Willingness to learn, seek feedback, and grow
