Join our Admissions and Onboarding team and play a key role in ensuring every applicant enjoys a welcoming, seamless and supportive experience from their first enquiry through to enrolment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Student Onboarding Assistant, you'll deliver exceptional customer service while supporting prospective students throughout every stage of the admissions journey. From providing information and advice to coordinating enrolment activities, you'll help ensure applicants receive the guidance and support they need to begin their studies with confidence.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Provide outstanding customer service across email, telephone, webchat, social media and face-to-face enquiries.
  • Offer accurate Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on courses, eligibility, funding and fee remission.
  • Assess applications, support interviews and assessments, make offers within agreed entry criteria and manage applicant communications.
  • Coordinate applicant interviews, onboarding activities and enrolment processes while maintaining accurate records.
  • Produce learner ID cards and support the planning and delivery of key admissions and onboarding events.
  • Contribute to Open Events, recruitment fairs and conversion activities to maximise enrolment.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy, confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
  • Support continuous service improvement by contributing to quality assurance activities and learner feedback initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for a highly organised, customer-focused individual who enjoys helping people and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You Will Ideally Have

  • A general education to at least Level 2.
  • Experience working in a busy administrative or customer service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with learners from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using databases and digital systems.
  • An understanding of confidentiality, data protection and GDPR requirements.
  • A positive, friendly and proactive approach to customer service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and providing an inclusive experience for every learner.
  • A Level 2 Information, Advice and Guidance qualification and knowledge of Further Education admissions would be advantageous.
