About Us
Legends Marketing Ltd is a growing ecommerce business based in Huddersfield, UK. We sell products across major online marketplaces including eBay, Amazon and TikTok Shop.
We are looking for a motivated student to join us for an Ecommerce Assistant Student Placement. This role is designed for a student who wants to gain real practical experience in ecommerce operations, marketplace management, customer support, inventory control and social media marketing.
Role Overview
As an Ecommerce Assistant Student Placement, you will support the day-to-day running of our online sales channels. You will help with marketplace orders, product listings, stock updates, customer messages and social media posts.
This is a remote placement, so the student must be organised, reliable and able to complete assigned tasks on time. Full guidance and training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Ecommerce & Marketplace Support
- Assist with managing orders from eBay, Amazon and TikTok Shop.
- Help update order statuses and tracking information.
- Support the preparation of order details for packing and dispatch.
- Monitor marketplace messages and basic account updates.
- Report any order, stock or customer issues to management.
Inventory Management
- Help update stock levels across online marketplaces.
- Monitor low-stock products and report restocking requirements.
- Keep inventory records accurate using Excel, Google Sheets or other systems.
- Help ensure product availability is correct across eBay, Amazon and TikTok Shop.

Customer Support
- Respond to customer messages in a polite and professional manner.
- Assist with delivery queries, order updates, returns and refund requests.
- Help maintain good customer service standards.
- Escalate complex customer issues to management when needed.
Product Listings
- Assist with creating and updating product listings.
- Check product titles, descriptions, prices, images and stock information.
- Support new product uploads.
- Help improve product listings for better presentation and sales.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Help create and post product content on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
- Assist with simple captions, product promotions and offers.
- Support new product launches and basic marketing campaigns.
- Help with Canva designs, basic photo editing or short video content where possible.
General Admin
- Maintain simple records of products, orders and customer queries.
- Complete assigned ecommerce admin tasks.
- Communicate task progress clearly with management.
- Follow company instructions and processes.
Requirements
- Must be a student looking for a placement, internship or work experience opportunity.
- Interest in ecommerce, online selling, digital marketing or customer service.
- Good written English and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Good attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms is helpful.

Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of eBay, Amazon Seller Central or TikTok Shop.
- Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience using Canva.
- Basic photo or video editing skills.
- Interest in ecommerce, dropshipping, retail or digital marketing.
- Previous customer service, admin or online selling experience is helpful but not essential.
