We're looking for a confident, motivated and highly organised Student Recruitment Assistant to join our Domestic Student Recruitment team at The University of Law’s London campuses on a full-time, permanent basis.
We have one vacancy available, supporting the inner and outer London area.
About the Role
As a Student Recruitment Assistant, you will support the Senior Student Recruitment Officer, to deliver an ambitious outreach and recruitment programme designed to raise awareness of our courses.
This is a fast-paced, target-driven role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for supporting the Domestic Student Recruitment Team with the implementation of the national events programme to build the total prospect pool and support conversion to meet student recruitment targets and KPIs.
This is a predominantly field-based role, requiring regular travel predominantly across the London region to attend schools, colleges, universities, careers fairs, and other recruitment events.
When not attending events, you will be based at your local campus, with London Bloomsbury and London Moorgate as your primary campus locations. You may work from home for up to one day per week, subject to business needs and event commitments.
As our Student Recruitment Assistant, you will:
- Support a programme of events, including:
- Offsite events, mainly within FE and HE institutions, such as recruitment fairs at schools, colleges and universities - delivering talks and workshops
- Onsite events, including supporting the campus with preparation and delivering talks/workshops and networking
- Virtual events – supporting the preparation and delivery of online events
- Support the Senior Student Recruitment Officer with the organisation and briefing of staff, student ambassadors and presenters attending events
- Share market intelligence gained from interactions with feeder institutions and external sources to help build awareness of the legal, business and competitor market
- Supports the Senior Student Recruitment Officer with the recruitment and management of Campus Representatives (promotional representatives based in feeder universities).
- Assist the Student Recruitment Manager with managing event metrics and feedback.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
