We're looking for a confident, motivated and highly organised Student Recruitment Assistant to join our Domestic Student Recruitment team at The University of Law’s London campuses on a full-time, permanent basis.

We have one vacancy available, supporting the inner and outer London area.

About The Role

As a Student Recruitment Assistant, you will support the Senior Student Recruitment Officer, to deliver an ambitious outreach and recruitment programme designed to raise awareness of our courses.

This is a fast-paced, target-driven role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for supporting the Domestic Student Recruitment Team with the implementation of the national events programme to build the total prospect pool and support conversion to meet student recruitment targets and KPIs.

This is a predominantly field-based role, requiring regular travel predominantly across the London region to attend schools, colleges, universities, careers fairs, and other recruitment events.

When not attending events, you will be based at your local campus, with London Bloomsbury and London Moorgate as your primary campus locations. You may work from home for up to one day per week, subject to business needs and event commitments.

As Our Student Recruitment Assistant, You Will

  • Support a programme of events, including:
    • Offsite events, mainly within FE and HE institutions, such as recruitment fairs at schools, colleges and universities - delivering talks and workshops
    • Onsite events, including supporting the campus with preparation and delivering talks/workshops and networking
    • Virtual events – supporting the preparation and delivery of online event
  • Support the Senior Student Recruitment Officer with the organisation and briefing of staff, student ambassadors and presenters attending events
  • Share market intelligence gained from interactions with feeder institutions and external sources to help build awareness of the legal, business and competitor market
  • Supports the Senior Student Recruitment Officer with the recruitment and management of Campus Representatives (promotional representatives based in feeder universities).
  • Assist the Student Recruitment Manager with managing event metrics and feedback.

Location and Travel

Given the requirement to attend campuses and events across the region regularly, applicants are expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance of London and maintain this for the duration of employment.

This is essential to support effective delivery of campus-based activity, manage travel requirements and minimise business-related expenses.

When not attending events, you will be expected to work from our two London campuses, which will act as your main campus bases.

You will be required to attend quarterly team meetings at various campus locations. These meetings, led by the Student Recruitment Manager, will support team alignment, professional development and cross-regional collaboration.

This role involves frequent regional travel, occasional evening and weekend work, and overnight stays where required.

  • Events experience – organising and hosting events.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders from different disciplines and at all levels
  • Articulate and able to reach across people from a broad range of backgrounds and cultures
  • Experience of delivering presentations and workshops
  • Hard working and flexible with a positive can do attitude
