Student Recruitment Manager
Student Recruitment Manager – Permanent (35 hrs/week, £44,375–£52,977 p/a)
Location: Hybrid – CSM King’s Cross/Home Flexibility: Pro rata applicable
The Opportunity
Joining our dynamic team at Central Saint Martins (CSM), you’ll drive student recruitment initiatives that align with UAL’s mission to empower creativity for social, cultural, and economic impact. Responsibilities include:

Designing and executing integrated engagement strategies, blending in-person and digital approaches, such as:
- Workshops (digital portfolio guidance, Q&A sessions)
- Counselling and advisory sessions for prospective students
- Targeted outreach to schools, colleges, and regions underrepresented in arts education

Leading a comprehensive student recruitment programme, including:
- Organising College open days and accessibility efforts
- Coordinating campus visits, tours, and global events (e.g., UCAS, British Council, higher education fairs)
- Collaborating with the Student Marketing Manager to support Foundation Diploma progression

- Working closely with CSM course teams to:
- Align recruitment strategies with curriculum goals
- Manage the Student Ambassador programme
About You
Experience & Knowledge
- Education: Degree-level qualification or equivalent, with expertise in art, design, or creative arts higher education
- Recruitment: Proven success in developing and adapting higher education recruitment strategies across sensitive market dynamics
- CRM usage: Hands-on experience managing student enquiries via CRM systems from first interaction to enrolment
- Stakeholder management: Experience building internal/external networks, influencing partners, and fostering collaboration
Essential Skills
✔ Analytical ability: Track KPIs, assess campaign impact, and propose data-driven improvements ✔ Communications: Clerlay complex ideas into engaging narratives for diverse audiences ✔ Mentorship: Proven ability to supervise/mentor teams or manage ramp scales ✔ Cultural insight: Deep understanding of art/design education pipelines (secondary → further education → university)
