Student Recruitment Support Officer - Manchester
Student Recruitment Assistant – Permanent / Full Time
Department: Student Recruitment Location: Manchester (On-Site) Salary: £27,500
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Student Recruitment Assistant to support the development of our Student Recruitment team. This role will involve assisting in propective student outreach, student finance applications, referral rewards, and organising recruitment events. You will also have administrative responsibilities, present key information to applicants, and contribute to maintaining smooth operations within the recruitment pipeline.
🚨 Important Note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What the Role Involves
- Provide comprehensive support to recruited students for student finance applications, from initial contact through to university enrolment.
- Assist students at every stage of the student finance application process, ensuring clarity and guidance.
- Resolve student queries related to student finance in collaboration with the Recruitment Team.
- Coordinate the distribution of student referral rewards and troubleshoot any issues, ensuring rewards are paid in accordance with deadlines.
- Liaise with the Finance Department and Invoices Team to guarantee the timely processing of rewards.
- Work closely with marketing, communications, and recruitment teams to identify performance improvements and standardise student support processes.
- Occasional evening and weekend work, particularly during peak recruitment periods.

About You
Essential Qualities
- High degree of computer literacy (with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), coupled with exceptional customer service awareness.
- Excellent listening, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, demonstrating self-motivation, discipline, and adaptability.
- Task prioritisation and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all processes.
- Ability to balance task execution with strategy planning.
Desirable Qualifications
- Background in student finance (not essential but advantageous).
Flexibility & Demands
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and attend recruitment events as required.
