Student Support Advisor
Student Support Advisor
Student Support & Safeguarding is looking for experienced and enthusiastic professionals to join a multi-disciplinary team that provides the initial assessment, triage, and referral of students into specialist support. The role also involves empowering students with resilience-building guidance and advice on maintaining their mental health and wellbeing.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have experience delivering pastoral support and providing welfare/wellbeing advice, including assessing needs, risk levels, and triaging to appropriate support services
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, with experience working in a busy frontline environment
- Be confident in handling distressing situations and sensitive themes, maintaining calm under pressure
- Effectively manage multiple competing priorities with strong organisational skills
- Show a commitment to collaborative teamwork across multi-disciplinary boundaries
Role Information
- Hours: Part-time (29.2 hours/week, 0.8 FTE) on a term-time only basis (32 weeks/year)
- Including: Occasional weekend work for events like open days and arrivals
- Location: Hybrid working (typically 3 days on campus for team operational planning)
