Student Support Assistant Vacancy (Pastoral Team)
Salary & Hours
- Grade 7 (Points 12–19) – Meridian Trust Support pay scale
- Hours: 37 per week
- Mon–Thu: 08:00–16:00
- Fri: 08:00–15:30
The Role & Opportunities
You’ll join a solution-focused, enthusiastic pastoral team, supporting house leadership and fostering positive student behaviour through:
- Administrative tasks linked to pastoral care
- Building collaborative relationships with students, parents, staff, and external agencies
- Contributing to a dynamic, values-driven culture as part of the wider Meridian Trust family

Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral and administrative support to leadership teams
- Assist in promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing among students
- Maintain accurate records, manage correspondence, and coordinate contacts with stakeholders
- Collaborate with external agencies (e.g., safeguarding, specialist services)

You’ll be an excellent fit if you have:

- Strong written and verbal skills tailored to students, parents, and colleagues

- Background in administration, education, or youth work
- Experience of supporting young people in school/social settings
