Job Summary/Basic Functions
Eastern Kentucky University’s Manchester Campus is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic student worker to provide essential front-desk and general office support, while also assisting with classroom technology and campus events. This student employee will serve as a welcoming presence for visitors, offering friendly and knowledgeable customer service, answering phone calls, and sharing information about campus resources.
The position includes facilitating E-Presence classes by supporting students and assisting with necessary technology setup. Additional duties include helping with student recruitment and retention efforts through campus events and community outreach, performing clerical tasks such as copying, organizing files, scanning documents, and helping to maintain a clean and professional workspace. The student worker may also conduct walk-throughs of common areas to ensure cleanliness and report issues, and complete research or data entry tasks to support daily operations. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed by campus staff.
Applicants must be currently enrolled at Eastern Kentucky University, with preference given to those whose primary coursework is based at the Manchester campus. Candidates should be in good academic standing and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to work independently while upholding confidentiality. Proficiency in common software tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite is expected, and familiarity with campus resources is preferred.

The ideal candidate will be available to work up to 20 hours per week and be interested in gaining experience in administration, communications, customer service, and event support in a collaborative campus environment. Final scheduling decisions will be based on student availability and campus needs.
